What is CBD?
CBD is the second most widely known cannabinoid after THC and the primary compound in the industrial hemp plant.
Because CBD is non-addictive and non-psychoactive, it is extremely useful for people who want to reap its benefits without it interfering with work, school, or family responsibilities.
CBD Distillate vs. Isolate
There are many different ways to get CBD, including edibles, topicals, and softgels. Among the purest forms of CBD are isolates and distillates. In fact, these are the main ingredients used to produce CBD edibles, topicals, softgels, and other CBD products. CBD distillate or CBD isolate extracted from the hemp plant contains trace amounts of THC (<0.3%) or no THC at all.
CBD Distillate
CBD is put through a process of heating and cooling to produce CBD distillate, a much purer, cleaner, and more potent form of the compound. CBD distillate typically contains about 87.8% CBD. While CBD distillate doesn’t contain as high a concentration of CBD as CBD isolate, it does retain many of the other therapeutic compounds in the cannabis plant, like terpenes, vitamins, waxes, and antioxidants. Made using a process of chromatography, CBD distillate comes in solid form.
CBD Isolate
Even more concentrated than CBD distillate is CBD isolate, containing 95% CBD. For people with allergies or other reactions to the terpenes, waves, or other compounds in cannabis, CBD offers the cleanest form of the compound. Typically made through a process of CO2 extraction, CBD isolate comes in refined, white powder form that can be added to foods, beverages, topicals, and tinctures alike.
CBD Uses & CBD Distillate Benefits
CBD, unlike THC, doesn’t produce a psychoactive effect or a “high.” While CBD cannot substitute for proper medical treatment in any way, recent studies have shown promise that CBD may alleviate the symptoms of many common conditions. However, more research is needed, and CBD should never be used as a replacement for actual medical treatment.
One of the other great benefits of CBD distillate and CBD isolate for many users is their extreme concentration and potency. For many people, especially medical cannabis users, many of the common methods of consuming CBD, such as swallowing capsules, eating edibles, applying topicals, or vaporizing oils, are prohibitive due to their medical condition.

This is a great product. This vapor is pristine and very relaxing. I use it out of my Pax 3 concentrate insert and get some high quality clouds. Only reason for not 5 stars is because it has very little flavor presumably because most terpenes do not survive the distillation process. I purchased their full spectrum CBD shatter last December and was hoping for something like that. I plan on purchasing terpenes from FinestLabs to mix in with this to get more out of the experience. Other than the lack of flavor, this is a very good product. Thanks again IHF!

Once again great product at a great price. I like the distillate because you can take it right out of the jar, chew it up and put it under your tong. Its a little different than the isolate, but just as effective. I like going back and forth with the two. I don’t find it has much of a taste other than cannabinoids. Potent stuff!
