Young Living has been around since 1993, dedicated to providing buyers with ‘pure, powerful’ products that can help improve their wellness through the use of essential oils. The brand uses a multi-level marketing structure which already kind of dissuades most buyers because of the unsavory reputation these businesses get.
You’ll notice though that there aren’t any CBD oils under the Young Living brand per se. Instead, they have a subsidiary by the name of Nature’s Ultra through which they sell a range of CBD products under the same multi-level marketing structure.
The biggest issue you’ll face when doing research for Young Living and any of their products is that it’s almost impossible to find trustworthy reviews. With so many of their resellers looking to entice others to join the company, any feedback that’s even slightly negative is easily overshadowed by the millions of positive reviews.
Fortunately, Reddit does offer some insight as to the quality of Young Living’s CBD oils. One particular Redditor points out that because Nature’s Ultra is owned by Young Living, all of their products are automatically overpriced which turns out to be true.
Another issue is that the brand doesn’t provide any information on the chemistry of their batches. Without any sort of documentation or lab reports to support the claims that the brand makes, it’s really hard to find what you’re actually getting when you decide to make a purchase.
Although Nature’s Ultra has its own website, clicking the shop button redirects viewers to the Young Living website. Here, they list down all of the different CBD products unde the Nature’s Ultra brand. Presently, there are only actually six products.
They have three distinct oil choices that vary based on flavor. These include cinnamon, citrus, and cool mint which all come in bottles of 30mL. Strengths are available in either 500mg or 1000mg.
For those who want to use CBD for its alleged beauty benefits, Nature’s Ultra claims to have developed a product that’s intended to improve overall skin health and appearance. The CBD Beauty Boost is basically CBD oil mixed together with rose essential oil, tamanu oil, and grapeseed oil to provide its users a myriad of beauty and anti-aging effects.
Aside from their oils, Nature’s Ultra also offers a CBD Muscle Rub and Calm CBD Roll-On which both aim to relieve minor muscle pains and aches. The Roll-On also allegedly works to soothe and calm the mind so you can kick back and relax.
If the whole Young Living multi-level marketing thing hasn’t thrown you off already, their prices might. The Nature’s Ultra line of CBD products are some of the most expensive you’ll find on the market today. Their exorbitant prices are only made better if you decide to buy in bulk as a member.
For instance, their 500mg oils sell for a whopping $104.95 for a single 30mL bottle if you’re buying retail. Wholesale orders place each bottle at $79.95 which is still pretty expensive when you consider how other dedicated CBD vendors sell their offers for much less.
Unfortunately, if you were hoping to get your hands on just a bottle or two, the brand only provides discounts for those who sign up to be a member. Those who do get 24% off on their orders for a lifetime, and get the chance to resell the products for a profit, as the whole MLM thing works.
The nature of the Young Living business structure makes it impossible for the brand to shell out discount codes and vouchers for retail buyers. So there’s really no point hoping for a sale, a promotional offer, or a even a coupon code if you’re just an average retail buyer.
Being the authority on all things oil, it comes as no surprise that Young Living has found it fit to take their slice of the CBD cake. By acquiring Nature’s Ultra, the brand hopes to join the leagues of other CBD vendors. But their whole MLM structure has them type-casted as just another big business hoping to make a profit.
Unfortunately, there aren’t enough buyer-generated reviews online for anyone to properly draw a conclusion about the quality of Nature’s Ultra’s oils. But even then, their steep prices just point to the conclusion that you might want to check other sources. Then again, if you’re already a member of Young Living and you want to give their CBD products a try, then there might not be a lot to lose if you decide to add Nature’s Ultra to your cart.
